At the beginning of each month I've been participating in the "Currently" link-up hosted at Overflowing With Thankfulness. Our hostess Jennifer posts a set of action verb prompts for the month and writers respond. So, without further ado, here are this month's prompts and what's happening currently . . .
***********
Loving - Things I'm loving right now include:
Slightly warmer temperatures, though it's not consistently feeling like spring. This morning, for example, we had a bit of snow again. We're at a time of year when I get to see the sunrise and sunset most days which I appreciate! As long as I'm not driving directly into the sun's glare, anyway!
On the weekend, I absolutely loved having our son and his family here, especially spending time with our sweet granddaughter.
The reason they were here was to attend the Stadium Series hockey game, and we all loved being at this exciting event! Great hockey game, patriotism on display, and a bonus mini-concert by a favorite band, Twenty One Pilots.
Craving - I guess I haven't had any strong cravings lately because I had trouble thinking how I could answer this prompt. I always crave bread, to be honest, and since I'm trying to cut down my carbs, I haven't had much of it, so that's one thing. I'm about a month away from my planned trip to visit family Canada, so I'm starting to think about the foods I'll want to indulge in while I'm there.
Pinning - I'm quite literally pinning the fabric on my chorus dress, since I have to make a few alterations, and my goal is to do it this weekend. I'm not a fan of hand sewing, but I know it won't take long once I just sit down and do it!
Planning - I mentioned an upcoming trip, so there's a little planning going on for that, but it's still a few weeks away. Mostly I'm planning - or trying to plan - how to do a better job of keeping my desk and files organized this year so it's not chaos when I need to work on taxes. Kind of planning our family vacation get-together for this summer, but that has stalled a bit at the moment.
Appreciating - a good night's sleep, a good cup of coffee, and my considerate husband. Not necessarily in that order!

Quotable (I've enjoyed hunting up little quotes to sprinkle into my posts, and I host a regular Wednesday Quotes link party based on interesting quotes, but I've still got such a collection that I have to keep sharing them!):
A light exists in Spring
Not present in the year
at any other period
When March is scarcely here.
~Emily Dickinson
Life is March weather, savage and serene in one hour. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Consider this your invitation to stop by the current link-up and join us: WQ - First Impressions. The link-up is open for two weeks, and the next one will open on March 19th, with the theme "Looking After Yourself"

Sounds like you have had some fun times. Your granddaughter is so cute. Love the patriotic photos at the game! Hope you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLots of highlights from that very fun weekend! This one is quiet by comparison. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteOh how fun that 21 Pilots played at the game! I don't usually procrastinate much but hand me some alterations and I find every reason to do that later... then by the time I sit down and sew I realize that it really only took a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's amazing how quickly projects actually get done once I get started. But I do struggle with the getting started part! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteI've been eating too much bread lately.
ReplyDeleteI'm very curious what Canadian food is on your list?!?!? I don't really find much difference between Canadian and American food!
