Everyday Images #33

Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I'm not a photographer, but I enjoy taking everyday photos of things I find interesting or want to remember later, and I find that I notice interesting things when I'm intentionally watching for them. Having some prompts that are open to interpretation has helped me pay a little more attention to what's around me. Every two weeks I have a few words and phrases that I'm focusing on, and I try to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week. These were the prompts I assigned myself for the past couple weeks:

Colorful

Bridge - I didn't manage to get a nice photo of a bridge, so I dug this picture of the Key Bridge out of my archives, because who knew that tragedy would happen right after I chose "bridge" as a prompt!

Sweet - These two sweethearts running around together was about the sweetest thing I could think of!

Gather - They were outside running while we hid eggs inside for them to gather.

And a few bonus photos:

Most of "The Gang" gathered at our place on the Resurrection Day weekend. We went out for dinner on Friday evening, went for a walk on Saturday afternoon, and to a hockey game on Saturday evening.

Our traditional Resurrection Day meal is lamb kebabs.

We had storms come through last week, heavy rains and lots of wind, but thankfully no damage.

We've got a duck nesting right outside our door, so we're doing our best not to disturb her, and are hoping that we get to see some ducklings in a couple weeks!

Went on a couple of walks on the weekend, to see how the eagles were doing, and see what other birds and signs of spring we could spot.

Hard to see in the photo, but there are at least two eaglets in the nest.

Other signs of spring include trout lilies, Virginia bluebells, spring beauties, and even an Eastern bluebird.

I am sharing my photos every other Tuesday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.

Everyday Images continues in 2024, every other Tuesday. And on the alternate Tuesdays, I'm hosting the Twenty-Six Lists link-up. I'd love to have you join me for that too!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  2. Hi friend, I am once again trying my hand at blogging. Baby steps and probably not with regularity but we shall see. When I dropped out of blogging about six months ago, I had hopes of joining your everyday images photo link up. Have taken a picture - ha! - of your list of prompts and will try very hard to capture something for each one and to share at the end of the month. What spectacular photos you have of the eagle and babies, the Easter egg hunt, those amazing clouds and the duck nest. Enjoyed seeing your gang in 'film'.

    1. welcome back! I don't know your situation, but I know how hard it's been for me to keep up with blogging these days, so I understand. I hope you're able to join in with some of the prompts - I'd love to see some ofyour photos. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
