Currently . . . April 4, 2024

At the beginning of each month I've been participating in the "Currently" link-up hosted at Overflowing With Thankfulness. Our hostess Jennifer posts a set of action verb prompts for the month and writers respond. So, without further ado, here are this month's prompts and what's happening currently . . .

***********

Loving - Things I'm loving right now include:

Tulips and daffodils, and blossoming trees.

Time spent with our kids and grandkids this past weekend.

Celebrating Resurrection Day! It's one special day on the calendar, but really we celebrate Jesus's resurrection every day!

Looking forward to - Warmer weather and hopefully some longer walks on the weekends, and grilling weather!

I'm really hoping that Jemima Puddle-Duck will be hatching some ducklings right outside our door in a few weeks. She's got a nice private spot for her nest and we're doing our best not to disturb her. We only hope that the crows will be so courteous.

Trust me - there are three eggs hidden
under the straw

It's way down the road, but I just bought my tickets, so I'm looking forward to seeing Twenty One Pilots again this fall!

Scioto Valley Chorus guest nights - we have four weeks of guest nights coming up and it should be so much fun!

Buying - I just bought a new bird feeder and hope that it will attract the birds but not be constantly raided by the neighborhood squirrels. Might actually get it filled and hung up today.

Planting - probably nothing. I am not a gardener, and although I'd love setting up our little patio area with some nice patio furniture and a few big planters and hanging baskets, I'm realistic enough to know that I will do a lousy job of keeping the plants alive. So we'll see what happens. We do want to make better use of the patio this year, but not sure what that will actually look like.

Cleaning - very soon I need to do a big clean in the pantry and in our closets. I think it's time to do a proper clean-out of the fridge too. Sounds like a Saturday project!

Quotable (I've enjoyed hunting up little quotes to add to my Five Minute Friday posts, and I do a weekly Wednesday Quotes post based on interesting quotes, but I've still got such a collection that I have to keep sharing them!):

A weed is a plant that has mastered every survival skill except for learning how to grow in rows. ~Doug Larson

Weeds are flowers too, once you get to know therm. ~A.A. Milne

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world. ~Anne Frank

    1. How exciting! The sad part is that in the past I've gone with my daughter and her friends, but that won't be possible this year. :-( Thanks for stopping by!
