On the 10th of each month, Marsha In the Middle asks ten questions for us to answer in as much or little detail as we wish. We have a set of lighthearted 'would you rather' questions all about the holiday season to work with for December! Oops! And I got distracted doing all kinds of fun (and not so fun) things today, and now it's almost the 11th - I need to get this published!
Would you rather give up Christmas cookies or Christmas trees? As much as I love sweets, I'd rather give up the cookies than the trees. I just love decorated trees so much and it's very hard to imagine the holidays without them!
Would you rather get just one amazing holiday gift or ten just OK gifts? Just one amazing gift would be fine with me! Just don't forget my birthday a couple days after Christmas! If you're combining my Christmas and birthday gift, it had better be especially amazing.
Would you rather wash your hair with Christmas cookie icing or cranberry salad? I don't think either would be very pleasant or effective. Both sound like a sticky mess. But if I have to choose, I'll try the cranberry salad, because I think it might rinse out a bit easier.
Would you rather surprise your people with gifts or shop from their lists? Hmmm. This is hard, because I do a bit of both. I find it easier to come up with my own ideas for some of my people than for others, so if I'd have to do it all one way, I think I'd prefer to shop from their lists. That's assuming they actually put together wish lists that have lots of good ideas!
Would you rather eat only the desserts or the main course for your entire holiday season? I really want to say I'd eat only the desserts because I know I'd enjoy that more, but I can see how even my sweet tooth would get pretty tired of that. Well, it's only a couple weeks out of a whole year ― so yeah, I'm gonna eat all the desserts!
Would you rather watch 'A Christmas Story' or 'Elf' for the entire day of your holiday? Elf! I know it would keep me entertained even on a repeated loop. I like 'A Christmas Story' but not enough to watch it more than once.
Would you rather listen to 'All I Want For Christmas' or 'I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas' for an entire week? This is absolutely the easiest choice on the whole list! I will choose 'All I Want For Christmas' every single time! I cannot stand that hippopotamus song! It's on my list of Christmas songs I just hate. It has no redeeming qualities at all, in my opinon.
Would you rather have a "Ho, Ho, Ho" Santa laugh or an evil Grinch cackle? I'm trying to remember the Grinch's laugh from the original cartoon, and I can't. I'm pretty sure Jim Carrey gave him a laugh of some kind but I don't remember that. So without looking up a video to help me, I'll just say I'd rather have the big belly Santa laugh. After all, I have the belly to go with it! Ho, ho, ho!!
Would you rather wear red and green or silver and gold for the entire holiday season? Hmmm, another tough choice. I think I'd wear silver and gold, provided it wasn't scratchy feeling material! Can I do red and silver? I'd rather do that!
(I checked and double checked, but I only see nine questions!)
For any of you that are interested, I'm planning on bringing back the Twenty-Six Lists link-up for another run here at A Fresh Cup of Coffee. This is a link-up that I previously hosted on my Homeschool Coffee Break blog a few years ago. You can take a look at some of the original Twenty-Six Lists there to get a little preview of what it's like. A list of updated prompts and more info will be coming very soon!
Are you interested in Twenty-Six Lists? Leave a comment and let me know!
Happy Holidays!

I think you and I are the only ones who would give up the cookies for a tree! And, yes, I totally goofed and didn't add the 10th question, but I didn't even notice it because my blog site does do numbered lists! Maybe January will have to have 11!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along, Kym! Have a wonderful holiday season!

I figured there were other sweet treats I could enjoy instead of cookies, but the tree is a must!! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteOH I am definitely interested in the 26 lists! That was such a fun link up. I also only counted 9 questions instead of 10. I don't much like the hippopotamus song either. I also thought that silver and gold clothing tends to be a bit itchier and while I have a few pieces I don't wear them often because of that.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on the list prompts and updating a graphic for it - glad to hear you're interested! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteI hope you'll be able to join in! I'm hoping to get an intro post with the list prompts posted soon! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
