Welcome to my another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I went through past photo challenges and came up with a list of prompts at the beginning of the year and am trying to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week. These were the prompts I assigned myself for the past couple weeks:
May Prompts - Everyday Images #9

heavy
nature
arrow
selfie (quarterly)
new/used
bird

heavy - These may be butterflies, but considering their size and that they're made from repurposed metal and other materials (like license plates, bicycle tires, and garden hoses), I imagine they are quite heavy.
nature -
arrow - there are a couple of arrows on this trail marker sign at Blendon Woods Metro Park.
selfie (quarterly) - it was time for the annual mother-daughter selfie for Mother's Day, so my daughter is included in this one.
new and/or used - brought my keyboard back from Maryland, and bought a new stand and a used amp.
bird - I had a pair of goldfinches visit my feeder last week and got one somewhat clear photo.
And a few bonus photos:
Some from graduation weekend . . . (more about Kennady's grad at A Graduation PhotoJournal on Homeschool Coffee Break)
Grad weekend was also Mother's Day weekend so we were able to spend time with the Maryland family, and it was a special treat to be with Aubrey.
A few photos from an evening walk at Blendon Woods . . .
And this past weekend we went to COSI and saw the King Tut's tomb exhibit . . .
I am sharing my photos every other Tuesday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.

You got some really great photos! I love those butterflies; they look so interesting. It sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's day weekend too with lots of reasons to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteI wish I'd had more time to study the butterfly art - they were part of a series displayed at COSI. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYour photos are really great. I love the butterfly art. I am always drawn to close up photos of nature so loved your rocks and autumn leaves. I have just started trying to take photos each day, so will link up with you next time

DeleteCongratulations to the graduate. I can't believe it's that time of year. 2023 is moving right along. Great photos for your promps.
ReplyDeleteYes, time is flying! It just hit us this weekend that we've lived here for six months already. Doesn't seem possible. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteLovely photos and wonderful interpretations of the prompts. Blendon Woods seems to be a beautiful place for walks and you must have had an amazing time at the King Tut exhibit. Years ago I went to one at Los Angeles, that was such a great experience. Visiting you from Pictorial Tuesday.
