Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I'm not a photographer, but I enjoy taking everyday photos of things I find interesting or want to remember later, and I find that I notice interesting things when I'm intentionally watching for them. Having some prompts that are open to interpretation has helped me pay a little more attention to what's around me. Every two weeks I have a few words and phrases that I'm focusing on, and I try to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week. These were the prompts I assigned myself for the past couple weeks:
September Prompts - Everyday Images #45

technology - I always thought the clear side and colored lights in our computer were pretty cool
sparkle - the goofy family photo that includes lots of sequins on my costume and a sparkly backdrop. And of course, lots of sparkle in our personalities!
weather (quarterly)
forward - what luck that I happened to see this truck in front of me one day!
chaos and/or order - the neighborhood squirrel sabotaged my peanut plant and left this chaos! And in contrast, there are orderly rows of trees and clusters of fall flowers to be seen at Timbuk Farms.

I'm also participating in the Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt hosted by This West London Life, so some of these photos may reappear on my posts with scavenger hunt finds.
A few more bonus photos:
Quite a few photos from our visit to Timbuk Farms - we spent a little time in the Corn Maize and visited the sunflower field.
Always a goofy photo! No one was harmed by the snippers!
This sunflower and a couple others looked like they were right out of a Dali painting.
The backside of the sunflowers?
I am sharing my photos every other Tuesday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.
Everyday Images continues in 2024, every other Tuesday. And on the alternate Tuesdays, I'm hosting the Twenty-Six Lists link-up. I'd love to have you join me for that too!

Beautiful photos! I love all those sunflower farm pictures. We didn't make it to our local sunflower farm this year.
ReplyDeleteThis was the first time I'd ever gone to a sunflower farm just to take photos, and we were lucky to have almost perfect weather that day. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHey friend!! I am working on my September photo post as I type this. Glad to see the prompts for Everyday Images #45. Hope I can sneak them in with images for #44 and the summer scavenger hunt. It has been hard to get good photos with this silly bum foot. I have my PC/husband looking for images for the prompts, too!!
ReplyDeleteGreat find for the word FORWARD. We have some chaos going on in my raised herb beds. Our own kitties are using the beds as outdoor litter boxes. Little devils.
What a fun outing to the sunflower field. I like the bike, random red chair and the little RV in the middle of the fields. During Covid someone left a very nice wicker chair out in the middle of the desert near our house. Made for a couple of interesting pics.
Cute family photo with the sparkle theme. Glad you could round up everyone for a photo. That's no small feat for us.
I'm looking forward to seeing your photos, and yes I imagine not being able to get around easily would make some the photo challenges extra difficult1
DeleteI think the farm did a great job placing those interesting props out in the sunflower field - I like those quirky "found objects" types of photo ops.
Getting everyone together for a family photo is definitely a challenge all its own! Makes me treasure the ones we do have even more, silly or serious! Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments!
I have always wanted to visit a sunflower farm. Up north, there was one (after we moved, of course) on the way to where I taught. I don't know if they allowed people to take photos there or not. Squirrels and rabbits make such a mess, don't they?
