I don't know, that was my first answer, but I was thinking about the circumstances of my life, and to be honest I felt like 'love' was a bit more enthusiastic than I really feel about many of the circumstances. But I reframed it a little in my mind to focus on LIFE. I love my husband and that we have a good marriage and still enjoy each other's company. I love that we have good family relationships and that all my kids love the Lord. I love that we are healthy and fairly active, and have a good church to attend. I love being a part of Scioto Valley Chorus.
I'm not an avid fan, but to my surprise, I do like spinach. I like baby spinach in salad, and I like spinach when it's in Italian pasta dishes. I do not eat cooked spinach all by itself.
I think I probably need to get out of my head, because I have good intentions and plans but I don't do well with follow-through and actually getting things done. I've always tended to be a procrastinator, and I've figured out that I put off starting on things I want to do because I don't feel confident it will turn out the way I picture it in my head. Well, of course it won't if I don't even start!
Nope, not following at all. I hear about it because that's what people talk about, but I don't know anything about basketball and don't care about the sport at all.
So much of what's going on in our country and the world is total madness right now. And not in a good way at all. The Francis Scott Key Bridge disaster in Baltimore - that feels especially close to home, because it is pretty close to our home. And that's just the latest in a news cycle that has been chaos week after week. Amid all the chaos and uncertainty, I'm thankful that I know Jesus and the peace he gives!
When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. ~Mark 13:7-8
Our Maryland family is coming for the weekend and we have some fun plans with them for Friday and Saturday. We'll go to church together on Resurrection Sunday and are planning to grill beef and lamb kebabs for dinner, and to have an egg hunt for the granddaughters.
This past Sunday, my husband's hockey game was in the afternoon, and our granddaughter had not seen Poppy play hockey, so we all went to watch the game.
What do you love about your life right now? Leave a comment and let me know!
Good morning Kym! I enjoyed your hodgepodge this week! I had to laugh... "fairly active" ! Yet hubby plays hockey! LOL my goodness. That's very active! Have a blessed Holy week and Resurrection Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely more active than I am! I walk a lot and do some hiking, but I don't play sports. Thanks for stopping by and commenting, and I hope you have a blessed week and Resurrection Day!
DeleteThere's definitely a lot of crazy things going on in the world right now and I have been actively trying to, not necessarily avoid, but keep away from worrying about them.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's sometimes a hard balance, isn't it. I actually like following politics and news, but at times I just need a break! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteHave a beautiful Easter Sunday. Enjoyed reading your answers and the bird is too funny!
ReplyDeleteWe were very entertained by the bird and his attempts to get at the food! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteSounds like you have a lovely life and an amazing family foundation! The hockey game looks like fun!

Thank you - I'm trying very hard to enjoy and appreciate the life I have, even if some things haven't turned out as I'd pictured. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteYes, that bridge disaster is heartbreaking. And you being so close to the scene is sobering. I'm reminded of the Sunshine Skyway tragedy in Florida back in 1980. These things never grow old.
ReplyDeleteYour Easter menu sounds wonderful, and I love the yellow tulips!
I'm afraid the loss of that bridge will have very long lasting impact because of how important the port of Baltimore is. It's sobering and yes, we always remember those kinds of tragedies. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteI enjoyed your answers. I agree that sometimes we just need to reframe things. I can kind of relate to your number three. Sometimes I'm not good with follow through on ideas I have. The bird is funny.
ReplyDeleteI find myself needing to do a lot of reframing lately and adjusting my perspective on things. Hope you're having a great week and weekend! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteI find it very challenging to keep up with what is happening in the world but not have it overwhelm me. I hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family!
ReplyDeletedefinitely a challenging balance! I do typically follow politics and am very interested in it, but sometimes it's just way too much. We had a wonderful weekend - thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and comment and I hope your weekend was wonderful as well!
