Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I'm not a photographer, but I enjoy taking everyday photos of things I find interesting or want to remember later, and I find that I notice interesting things when I'm intentionally watching for them. Having some prompts that are open to interpretation has helped me pay a little more attention to what's around me. Every two weeks I have a few words and phrases that I'm focusing on, and I try to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week. These were the prompts I assigned myself for the past couple weeks:

tiny - I don't know for sure where these tiny characters even came from but they somehow have found a home on the mantel along with the portraits of the kids.
collection - My book collection has been pared down a lot, but you can see there a couple of favorite authors whose titles I collect.
spiral
fortune - we got Chinese takeout one night and it was so good! I have no idea what this fortune means though.
handmade - I still had a snowflake hanging around that was handmade by my granddaughter.
selfie (quarterly) - I'm the short one on the left.
And a few bonus photos:
Tried a new dish from the Asian restaurant. Ka-Thong Ton. So pretty, and very tasty.
I wasn't driving when I saw this sunset, so I had to take a picture!
Husband and son went to the hockey game on Margaritaville night and got these shirts.
Our granddaughter left her little fox here on Friday night, so I sent her picture letting her know that the fox was doing fine and watching hockey with Poppy.
I forgot I had this from the print shop at the Carillon park from a couple weeks ago. They typset our names and printed these for us.
Took notice of the chemtrails yesterday morning:
I am sharing my photos every other Tuesday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.
Everyday Images continues in 2024, every other Tuesday. And on the alternate Tuesdays, I'm hosting the Twenty-Six Lists link-up. I'd love to have you join me for that too!

I had to go look-up chemtrails. I'd never heard them called that before. lol I enjoyed seeing your pictures.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people assume they are the same as contrails, but I've learned they are not. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteThose tiny characters; is that King Triton and Eric from The Little Mermaid?! Perhaps your fortune implies you are like some of the Disney princesses singing to birds and getting them to help you... :)
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that's who the characters are, but I still don't know where they came from. LOL Wouldn't it be nice if birds and woodland creatures helped us with our housework? I wish that's what the fortune meant! Thanks for stopping by and offering creative interpretation!
DeleteKa-Thong Ton must have been fun to eat; it looks a lovely crispy-crunchy dish.
ReplyDeleteYou do have a charming smile. I'm guessing the fortune was talking about your infectious charm and about putting the family in a good mood. ;)
Love your sunset and contrail pictures. I know how it feels when you're driving and you see some gorgeous skies and have the itch to photograph it all. :)
Thank you for your very kind comments. Yes, some of those sunset and sunrise views while driving are just begging to be shared with someone, but I am alone in the car. Glad you stopped by to comment!
DeleteLove the photos!
DeleteThe handmade snowflake from your granddaughter is precious, as is the selfie with your lovely smile.
Thank you so much! Very glad you stopped by to comment!
