LORD, be gracious to us;
we long for you.
Be our strength every morning,
our salvation in time of distress.
The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high;
he will fill Zion with his justice and righteousness.
He will be the sure foundation for your times,
a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge;
the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.

I like this translation. I've loved verse 2, but how neat "the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure."
ReplyDeleteI was struck by that phrase in my reading this week. We all want keys to treasure, and here God is telling us how to find the key AND the treasure! And we so need a sure foundation in the times we live in as well. Thanks for stopping by, commenting, and linking up your wonderful posts each week!
DeleteNow that's a bounty of gourds!! I love how each pumpkin, gourd, squash is just a little different. I am trying to increase my faithfulness to devotionals and quiet time on a weekly basis because it surely does bring me strength every morning.
