Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I went through past photo challenges and came up with a list of prompts at the beginning of the year and am trying to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week. These were the prompts I assigned myself for the past couple weeks:
July Prompts - Everyday Images #13

summer

weather (quarterly)
road
animal

summer - nothing says summer like the pool
red - Hmm. My travel mug is mostly red.
free - we made it to the free movie night at the town's amphitheater and enjoyed Top Gun. Hopefully we'll be able to go to one of the free family movie nights coming up.
weather (quarterly) - I was going to use a storm cloud photo until I remembered that's the kind of photo I used last time. So I chose this photo from the Dawes Arboretum, which we visited on a gorgeous summer day. Perfect summer weather!

road - Again, tough to remember to get a picture when the roads I see are usually from the vantage point of the car. I did take a couple pictures though.
animal - I thought I might have to go to the archives for this one, because I felt like the only animals I saw recently were the deer trying to cross the road while we were driving to work. And obviously you can't get good pictures of them while you're driving and trying not to hit them! But I did have this photo of a family of Canada Geese out for a swim. You can kind of make out the large carp in the foreground.
And a few bonus photos:
I am sharing my photos every other Tuesday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.

Hi Kym. I've been enjoying to photo posts and have made up one with your prompts to go live on Friday. I hope you don't mind if I link up with you and use your prompts. That looks like a beautiful road through the woods that I would enjoy traveling. And I especially like the lake photo with the reflections of the trees. Gorgeous! Hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to have you link up and use the prompts if you like them! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteBeautiful photos! I feel like so many of our weather days have rainy and dreary this summer but it does make me appreciate those sunny ones all the more when I see them. Loving these photos; they definitely make me think of summer.
ReplyDeletetrue - the cloudy days help us appreciate the sunny ones even more! I often find the stormclouds beautiful too though. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
