Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I'm not a photographer, but I enjoy taking everyday photos of things I find interesting or want to remember later, and I find that I notice interesting things when I'm intentionally watching for them. Having some prompts that are open to interpretation has helped me pay a little more attention to what's around me. Every two weeks I have a few words and phrases that I'm focusing on, and I try to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week.

spooky - there was a bit of a spooky atmosphere in parts of Loveland Castle, thanks to displays like this one. (There was a "grail" on a shelf just opposite, which made us think of the line from the Indiana Jones movie: "He chose . . . poorly."

Honorable mention for the "spooky" prompt goes to this quote randomly graffiti'ed on a bridge. Would have been spookier at night, I imagine.
black and white - there's a little bit of color to this craft I made on the weekend, but mostly it's rustic black and white
trees
blaze - I completely stumped myself on this one. Maybe I thought I'd get a chance to go to a bonfire? At the last minute I figured maybe my 'Flaming C' logo travel mug would do. A fiery logo and it does a good job of keeping my morning coffee blazing hot.

And a few bonus photos:
We went to visit Loveland Castle one weekend.
After the castle, a walk through the nearby park.
And out to dinner at Ford's Garage.
On Halloween, our treat was to attend The Ohio State Buckeyes hockey game.
And on November 1st, we had a really amazing treat - a friend of ours has access to Club Level seats at the Blue Jackets games and took us as his guests.
Enjoyed a win that night, which was good, because later that night we did not get to enjoy the World Series win. We watched, but did not enjoy, because our Blue Jays did not come out on top.
Finished the weekend at craft night.
Happy November!
I am sharing my photos every other Thursday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.
Everyday Images will continue in 2025, every other Thursday, and the link-up is open for two weeks.

That is a great sign you crafted. Fun. How nice to be gifted that night of hockey, especially since hockey is a favorite sport! A castle close by? That is very cool. Love the Celtic cross.
ReplyDeleteThe prompts were perfect for this time of year and you captured them so well. I especially love the castle and hockey photos!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are beautiful, had to laugh about the Halloween once !
