Everyday Images #54

Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I'm not a photographer, but I enjoy taking everyday photos of things I find interesting or want to remember later, and I find that I notice interesting things when I'm intentionally watching for them. Having some prompts that are open to interpretation has helped me pay a little more attention to what's around me. Every two weeks I have a few words and phrases that I'm focusing on, and I try to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week.

blanket - the Santa blanket stays out all winter. It's a good cozy one. But I laughed a little at this photo because it does look a lot like Santa is sitting in my chair!

moon - not a good quality photo, but there's the moon!

square - I kept thinking I should take a picture of the town square, but also kept forgetting. So here I am putting together the post and realizing I have no photo for this prompt. The solution is right here on my keyboard. And so is a crumb, I think . . .

on my plate (quarterly) - I also kept forgetting to take a photo of dinner so I'll have to do much better on this prompt next quarter! We had Chicken Florentine just over a week ago and I had taken a photo so this will have to do.

And a few bonus photos:

I don't know what was going on with me, but I just didn't get photos these past couple of weeks. Or at least none that were good enough for me to keep.

We did get to another hockey game last week, which was another win for the Blue Jackets.

Hopefully I'll have more photos to share next time around!

I am sharing my photos every other Tuesday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.

Everyday Images will continue in 2025, every other Tuesday, and the link-up is open for two weeks.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. I enjoyed your photos. I'll try to join up, but maybe not today. I'll have to go into my photo history to find some of these. I too have not done to well at taking pictures these last couple of weeks. Take care!

  2. I've had trouble with the prompts this time, too. I don't think it's really the prompts but I keep forgetting to look for attractive or interesting instances of squares or the moon. Ha! Maybe ght have to borrow your keyboard idea. Glad you got yo another hockey game. We've talked about trying to go watch our team. Need to remind PC. Santa does indeed look like he is reclining in your chair.

    1. Yes, that's exactly it - I often don't think about taking photos even though the prompts shouldn't be hard (after all, that's why I chose them!), OR I'm driving or otherwise occupied and think "wish I had a hand free to grab that photo". Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Leslie! (The reference to PC helped me out)

  4. I find I do a really bad job of taking photos this time of year; I'm so much less inspired when I spend so much time indoors.

    1. That's true, when I'm looking at the same four walls all the time photo ops seem rare. And when it's not nice out, we don't go to interesting places as much either. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  6. Cute photos. It's an interesting assortment of photo. I'm super limited right now on photos because I don't have my external hard drive. I'm hoping it is in Prescott and not lying on the road somewhere. :) xxx
