At the beginning of each month I've been participating in the "Currently" link-up hosted at Overflowing With Thankfulness. Our hostess Jennifer posts a set of action verb prompts for the month and writers respond. So, without further ado, here are this month's prompts and what's happening currently . . .

Loving - Things I'm loving right now include:
Staying warm and cozy inside, even though the fresh white snow outside is beautiful!
The new charcuterie boards I got for Christmas! Thanks, kids! (Funny story: before Christmas my husband was messaging our family group in response to a question about what to have handy for snacks. He mentioned crackers and cheese and typed "like the Hormel trays" but autocorrect changed it to "homeless trays" and all appetizer trays will now forever be called Homeless Trays in our family.) Anyway, I'm happy with how this first spread I did turned out, even though I kept it very simple since it had to be transportable.
Hockey, of course! We went to two Blue Jackets games during the week of New Years, and are watching games on TV a couple nights a week. Well, I don't always sit down and watch, but hubby does.
I guess I'm loving Ohio State football?! Who would have guessed?! We have no particular allegiance to a college football team, and while my husband has had a passing interest, I have never paid any attention at all. Well, we live in the heart of Buckeye country now, and many in our 55+ group at church are AVID Buckeye fans. So we've attended watch parties and I know to be aware of how the Buckeyes did in important games since it will definitely come up in small talk with people. We went to a Cotton Bowl watch party at church on Friday and once again we thoroughly enjoyed the game (and the company) and I found myself biting my nails and cheering right along with everyone else. I have no plans to buy myself Buckeyes t-shirts or anything, but I have a feeling I'll be paying even more attention as time goes on.
Doing to stay warm - Mostly staying inside!! This week the temps have been in the low 20s and we have snow, so no walks outside for us! At work, I have a little space heater in my office and today I am finally doing what I've been thinking about for almost a year - I am taking my Keurig to work so I can have hot coffee whenever I want. At home, we are staying cozy with extra throw blankets available everywhere, and with new flannel sheets on the bed.
Resolving - Well, I don't do New Years Resolutions, but most years I pick a Word of the Year that serves a similar purpose. This year it's Practice, so I guess I'm resolving to be intentional and consistent in doing the things that I want to get better at. I'm also coming up with at least one "25 in '25" list of things to do over the year, sort of a bucket list of fun or positive things to challenge myself to do or experience by the end of the year.
Organizing - I'm supposed to be organizing the spare room and getting it put back in order after the holidays, but I haven't gotten very far with that. I did move my keyboard down to the living room and that makes it feel much less crowded in the spare room though!
Also need to organize some things in my kitchen better ― new canisters I ordered arrived today, which will help with this ― and a big organization project to work on is cleaning up my desk and files. Need to get organized in order to do taxes, which will be coming up soon! It's actually charitable to call what I have right now "files", since it's more like piles and there's a lot that will be purged as I go through it. Yikes.
Wearing - an extra hoodie under my warm winter coat whenever I go outside! Wearing gloves or mittens and a scarf far more often than usual as well. I'm wearing a neon orange or safety green hoodie every day at work too.

Quotable (I've enjoyed hunting up little quotes to sprinkle into my posts, and I host a regular Wednesday Quotes link party based on interesting quotes, but I've still got such a collection that I have to keep sharing them!):
Music to me is like breathing — I don't get tired of breathing, I don't get tired of music. ~Ray Charles
The very fact of snow is such an amazement. ~Roger Ebert
