Everyday Images - Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt

For the past couple months I've been participating in the Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt hosted by This West London Life, so here are all my finds for the final link-up.

1. Family pet or cute animal

2.  Look up to the sky

3. A colorful front door - I don't think my photo shows it to best advantage, but these neighbors have done an outstanding job of filling their little patio with color and blooms. I love walking by to pick up my mail!

4. What's on your feet

5. Favorite summer food/meal - delicious barbecue!

6. Something with wings

7. Favorite summer reading nook/place - I don't read outside much. Like hardly ever. So my favorite summer reading spot is no different from the rest of the year. At the table if I'm eating a meal by myself, or in a comfy chair in the living room, or more often, in bed, although I chose not to take that photo! I also read almost every day during my lunch break at work.

8. Something colourful in your garden or neighborhood

9. Moving water

10. Something that casts a shadow

11. A kitchen utensil you hardly ever use - maybe this is more of a gadget than a utensil. It's used to in the instant pot, usually to make the little mini omelettes like sous vide egg bites.

12. A place of worship - Had to include two here. This beautiful historic church spotted in Logan, and the ceiling of the Greek Orthodox cathedral in Columbus.

13. Mark the passage of time - a little girl turning two and a young man turning twenty-two. Not on the same day, but we celebrated together as a family.

14. Your nation's flag

15. Something you've repurposed - I struggled with this one. I didn't do this repurposing myself, but it's the best thing I could come up with for the photo. This little "trophy" was presenting to my husband a few years ago by his hockey league. It's made of megablocks painted gold.

Alternate A: something misspelt or grammatically incorrect

Alternate B: stamping

  1. You did a great job with the challenge! I think that repurpose photo is fun... I couldn't think of anything for that one either.

  2. Bravo!! You found an image for everything, even the alternate options. Your church photo is very pretty but I think the shadow of the tree might be my favorite. And what a pretty bush/tree with several color blooms. I have been stalling on committing to my repurposed object. It isn't the least bit pretty or photogenic but I think I need to pull the trigger just to finish things up.

    1. sometimes a photo that satisfies a prompt isn't exactly a beautiful one and all we can do is try to make it interesting. I liked that shadow photo too - it was a lucky find! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
