Scripture and a Snapshot - Ask the Animals

"But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish in the sea inform you.
Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the LORD has done this?
In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind."

"To God belong wisdom and power;
counsel and understanding are his."

~Job 12:7-10, 13~

  1. "In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind." Amen. What a wonder. What a display of His greatness.

  2. Thanks for the great quote from Job! I tend to think of the book as an argument or a sad complaint, and I forget how uplifting it can be.

  5. What a great shot of the raccoon! It must have been in the dawn or dusk, or he must have been very confused to be out in the day! That verse is so good. What a great reminder and one that I can share with my animal-loving young children!

    1. He was just a little fella, and it was late afternoon. I think he must have been very close to home and I remember praying he would go home safe to his momma for a bit longer.

  6. Not sure if my first post was published, but I wanted to say I definitely need to share this verse with my animal-loving kids. We can learn so much from His creation, including animals, but it is only us that He placed His Spirit to dwell. He loves us more than the sparrows. What a relief and reassurance!
