At the beginning of each month I've been participating in the "Currently" link-up hosted at Overflowing With Thankfulness. Our hostess Jennifer posts a set of action verb prompts for the month and writers respond. So, without further ado, here are this month's prompts and what's happening currently . . .
***********
Loving - Things I'm loving right now include:
Coffee and Chocolate Cheesecake - well, not RIGHT now, although I think it would make a delicious breakfast!
Christmas movies and music - I haven't watched these particular movies yet this year, but I will! Trans-Siberian Orchestra is some of my favorite Christmas music, and I've listened to it a lot already, and we watched one of the TSO DVDs a few nights ago. We've been to see their concerts several times in past years and they are always good.
Our pretty Christmas tree - even though it's taken me a long time to get it decorated, and I'm still not finished!
Getting started! |
Gifting - When it comes to Christmas gifting, I've only just started my shopping. I've got a few things, and I have lists of things to buy or at least ideas, but I haven't made a lot of progress. Thankfully Amazon Prime is a thing, because I'm going to need it once again!
Wrapping - Have to finish shopping before I can even start wrapping! I'm still UNwrapping the ornaments and putting the finishing touches on the tree!
Hoping - for nice weather on the weekend, so I don't have to bundle up to sing with the chorus at the zoo on Saturday morning. I'll be much more comfortable if it's warm enough for just sweaters instead of heavy coats and mittens.
Attending - Believe it or not, I might have a conflict on my calendar! This might be a first for my time in Ohio, because my social life is typically pretty sparse here. But sounds like there's a good chance my husband's work Christmas party will fall on the same night that I was planning to attend a chorus get-together so I may need to make a tough choice.
Things on my calendar to attend include: The Reindeer Run at the zoo on Saturday morning, a lunch with friends after church on Sunday, the chorus Christmas party on Monday, and either the company party or the chorus social . . . hopefully both!
Reading - currently reading these:
Kingdom of Love by Tracie Peterson
More reading news and recent reviews are at Just A Second, and the Book Review Bulletin monthly link-up is open for this last month of 2023 if you'd like to share your reviews there.

I love Tracie Peterson's books. I've not read that one yet.
ReplyDeleteIt's a collection of three novellas, and I'm enjoying it, although I'm wondering if it's a re-release of Peterson's much earlier writing? I'll find out for sure before I review it! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteSounds like a fun, festive weekend and the cheesecake sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the weekend's activities, and doing some more baking because we finished off the cheesecake today! thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteI hope you have lovely weather for singing this weekend! That cheesecake looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it will be chilly but hopefully not raining tomorrow morning! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteSinging at the zoo - that sounds like fun!! We visited our Zoo lights and festivities a few years ago. It was a lot of fun..but it was incredibly cold that day!!
ReplyDeleteSadly, the chorus had to cancel that particular performance because we had several members sick. The zoo lights are so pretty, but it's hard to enjoy when it's really cold! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteI'm ALWAYS about cheesecake for breakfast!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, why not?! Might as well enjoy breakfast! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
