Everyday Images #20

Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I went through past photo challenges and came up with a list of prompts at the beginning of the year and am trying to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week. These were the prompts I assigned myself for the past couple weeks:

table

weather (quarterly) - This is pretty typical of the past little while, and typical of the season. It's cooler, especially at night, and while we still have the occasional day with a bright blue sky that reminds me of September, more often the skies are cloudy and there's a bit of rain.

door -

orange - Jack-o-lanterns at the Columbus Zoo

inside and/or outside - This was inside the sea lion exhibit at the Columbus Zoo. You're surrounded by water above and below, but can see the sky. And the next photo is my granddaughter (in her Spider Gwen costume, because it was Boo at the Zoo) getting a feel for being inside the aquarium at the bubble window.

texture -

table - Yes, I know, very similar to my "same spot monthly" photos! But this was different because the table was set for our Canadian Thanksgiving celebration.

And a few bonus photos:

A couple of  treasures I brought back from our trip to visit my parents. My grandpa carved and painted these many decades ago.

We went to Star Wars night at the Columbus Blue Jackets. No idea why that was the promotion but it was fun, and we got these cool Star Wars jerseys. I got to see my Calgary Flames play, which is why we chose this game.

And a few more Columbus Zoo photos:

I am sharing my photos every other Tuesday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.

  1. Those aquariams (sp?) are always so fun to go through. The pumpkins are amazing. I'm lucky to make any face on them at all.

  4. Those pumpkins are so impressive. I can not carve anything like that despite having bought books and "proper" carving tools. The zoo pictures turned out great and it looks like a really fun day.
