The Flower Hour - Late Summer Blooms

Some cheerful late summer blooms spotted on the weekend.

I think these are known as tickseed, part of the Coreopsis family.

I didn't mean to intrude, but when I got home and got a closer look at the photo, I realized I had inadvertently taken a picture of a private moment between a couple of goldenrod soldier beetles. Awkward!

And milkweed seed pods, complete with a Monarch butterfly.
