The Flower Hour is working through the alphabet, and although I missed ABC, I'm here for DEF. You might notice a bit of a theme with the flowers I've chosen.
D is for Daisy . . . and I love all flowers in that daisy shape. I realize that some of these are probably not daisies, but to me they are all the same.
E is for Echinacea, which is another daisy-shape flower, and I'm pretty confident these pink ones are echinacea. But the first "daisy" above is from the same flowerbed, and I'm not at all confident that I know the difference between daisies and echinacea anyway!
I think these are False Sunflowers, which start with F, so I'm including them, just to go with the daisy theme.
F is for French Lavender, and I got these photos at the Timbuk Farms Lavender Festival in June 2025.

Beautiful choice, Kym, everyone loves a cheerful daisy! I'm guessing many daisies are in the Echinacea family of flowers. Some of yours are coneflowers, also echinachea. So you've satisfied letter C. 😆 And, some coneflowers are in the Gaillardia family! Confusing much? When in doubt, I use my flower app or Google lens. Love the lavender too!
ReplyDeleteyes, I'm pretty sure what laypersons like me often call daisies are some variety of echinacea. When I'm in doubt, I usually consult my greenhouse manager husband, who DOES have a green thumb and a lot of horticultural qualifications. LOL Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
