Likewise, you who are less experienced, submit to leaders. Further, all of you should clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because
God opposes the arrogant,
but to the humble he gives grace.
Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the right time he may lift you up. throw all your anxieties upon him, because he cares about you.

A much needed passage. I’m struck by the word “clothe” this morning. Not just add a dash of humility, but be clothed with it.
ReplyDeleteYes, I like that he takes the anxieties when it is most needed. I pray that I am humble enough. Not sure that I clothe myself in it at times, but I'm trying. Great scripture today as a reminder of when God is pleased with us.

ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful photo and a great verse! Such a beautiful reminder… humbling ourselves before the Lord is not always easy, but what peace it brings to know He cares so deeply for us. I love that we don’t have to carry the weight of our worries alone… we can lay them all at His feet and trust His perfect timing. This verse always encourages me to let go and rest in His care.
