Holly at Pink Lady and Patty at Good Better Best co-host this monthly sharing of tips, tricks, and conversation starters. This month we're talking about Fall Decorating and Fashion. I'm not your source for fashion inspiration, and I don't go all out with decorating the house these days, but hey, just for fun let's see what I can come up with!
1. Share how you decorate for fall.
I don't decorate a whole lot at this point, just a few placemats and small decor items. At this moment, I can't even remember if I brought a fall door wreath along when we moved. I don't think so. (Guess I'll find out Saturday, when I plan on updating the seasonal things!) I usually have fresh flowers of some kind in my dining room anyway, so in fall I obviously choose autumn colors. My seasonal decor is centered around my dining room table and I sometimes have something seasonal for the door. I like to get a planter arrangement of some kind for fall - even a pumpkin and a couple of pots of colorful mums like I did last year.
2. Halloween decor - yes or no?
Some. If it's cute and low-key. I don't do anything scary, but I can get behind a cute ghost, black cat or jack-o'lantern. My daughter has cornered the market of the Halloween decor for our family and loves all the cute ghosts and pumpkins.
3. Pumpkins, corn stalks, or hay bales?
For decorating it's almost always been pumpkins.
4. Favorite fall fashion pieces?
Not sure just how fashionable it is, but I have a black and white checked flannel that I love and wear constantly throughout the colder months.

5. How do you transition your wardrobe?
My wardrobe doesn't require a lot of transitioning. I just choose long sleeve tops, sweaters or hoodies more often. I move my summery dresses to the back of the closet, but I don't wear dresses all that often these days anyway.
6. Do you decorate inside and out?
As I mentioned in the first question, most of my seasonal decorating is done in the dining area, and I do just a little bit around the door. We live in an apartment neighborhood so we don't have a lot of outside space to work with here. I did more overall at our previous house, and to be honest, I'm dreaming about stepping up my seasonal decor game once we buy a house here.
I just got this fall-themed garden stake so until I get a planter of mums this is my outdoor decoration. It's a little hard to see, but the arrow says "Welcome"
7. Favorite fall scents?
I love all the spicy scents - cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg - so candles and wax melts labeled "pumpkin spice" or "mulled cider" or anything "maple" is what I'll go for, especially in fall.
8. Go-to fall outfit?
Goodness, I pretty much wear long-sleeved t-shirts and jeans most of the time, so I can't say I have a go-to outfit for the season. Unless my flannel counts! LOL
9. Do you change up your makeup/skin care for fall?
Not much, although I'll start using an overnight moisturizer more as the weather gets cooler and dryer. Most days I wear a tinted moisturizer and that's all, year-round. My full makeup colors and products don't change seasonally either.
10. What makes your house feel cozy for fall?
Candles and wax warmers for scent and ambience. Throw blankets available in the living room. When my husband decides it's time to get out the puzzle table, that's when fall has truly arrived, and that adds a bit of cozy atmosphere, oddly enough.

I don't do this link up since I'm not a fashion person either! But I do like that flannel!
