Everyday Images #63

Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I'm not a photographer, but I enjoy taking everyday photos of things I find interesting or want to remember later, and I find that I notice interesting things when I'm intentionally watching for them. Having some prompts that are open to interpretation has helped me pay a little more attention to what's around me. Every two weeks I have a few words and phrases that I'm focusing on, and I try to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week.

repeat - there were several repeating patterns at Westcott House I considered, but settled on this stained glass skylight in the upstairs hallway.

brick - brick patio and a brick building in the background

And a few bonus photos:

My blue sky photo was taken while we were strawberry picking with the kids in Maryland.

While in Maryland we went on a little explore to the Raven Tree

Finished the day with this sunset, and the only photo I got was with the vape shop and the iconic carpet rolling man in the foreground.

On Memorial Day, we went for breakfast at the Whataday Coffee Shop.

Here's a few more photos from the beautifully restored Westcott House we saw on Saturday.

Afterwards we went to dinner at a Greek restaurant with amazing food . . .

and then went for a short walk at the reservoir. The Canada geese were clearly in charge of the place.

I walked to my dentist appointment on Tuesday, and saw this green heron on the way!

Wednesday evening we went to the Columbus Clippers game. I got to see the stadium from behind home plate, because Scioto Valley Chorus sang the anthem. Play ball!

I am sharing my photos every other Thursday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.

Everyday Images will continue in 2025, every other Thursday, and the link-up is open for two weeks.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  2. Great photos of precious moments. That Raven Tree photo is very interesting. Loved seeing your little one picking strawberries. What a doll baby!! I like the geometric shapes of the stained glass skylight in the Westcott House. It reflects the architectural features of the house. Very linear. Goodness, the Greek food you enjoyed looks delicious. We often have Greek food when we are traveling.

I am working on my May photo post now. So behind. But will be linking up with you soon.
