At the beginning of each month I've been participating in the "Currently" link-up hosted at Overflowing With Thankfulness. Our hostess Jennifer posts a set of action verb prompts for the month and writers respond. So, without further ado, here are this month's prompts and what's happening currently . . .

Loving - Things I'm loving right now include:
More frequent sunshine and warm days! This is a great time of year, as far as the weather is concerned because it's not hot yet, so it's perfect for grilling, and for going on long walks and doing some hiking. And it's nice to not have to worry about taking a jacket everywhere. We went to Franklin Park Conservatory last weekend and did a fair amount of walking outside there, and we were at Charleston Falls Preserve yesterday and the weather was perfect.
Today being Mother's Day, I loved getting the Mother's Day wishes from my kids and being able to spend time with the kids here yesterday.
Have been loving some good food lately too. Yummy pizza and dessert at a new restaurant opening last weekend, dinner out with the family yesterday, and a delicious dinner (if I do say so myself) of my chicken florentine today.
Looking forward to - Memorial Day and a trip to Maryland! We haven't been 'home' since Christmas so I'm looking forward to seeing the family and hopefully some friends during that short visit.
Leaving behind - a couple of pounds and hopefully a bad habit or two. I really don't sleep all that well, and I know that I have a couple of less-than-helpful evening routine habits that are contributing to that. Or maybe getting me into a vicious cycle. I've started concentrating on breaking those habits and am making some progress.
Letting go of - the possibility of moving soon. We decided to renew our lease here for another year or so. It was a bit disappointing because earlier this year we'd been hopeful that we could buy something and be moving by about this time, but the timing and logistics weren't going to work. But we're going to get started very soon on the search so that we can take our time looking and making a decision.
Looking at - a few things we might want to purchase to make our next year more comfortable here. Not seriously looking at specific houses for sale yet! But there are a few things that we've mentioned we should get, and I think we should make a list and actually get those things. We've had conversations that go something like, "y'know, if we're going to live here much longer, we should get a shelving unit that fits here so that we can make better use of this space." Well. Now it's time to go to IKEA and buy that shelving unit, I guess.
Oh, also, we're looking at maybe trading in one or both of our vehicles for different ones. Still in the discussing it and "looking at options" stage of that.

Quotable (I've enjoyed hunting up little quotes to sprinkle into my posts, and I host a regular Wednesday Quotes link party based on interesting quotes, but I've still got such a collection that I have to keep sharing them!):
The most extraordinary thing in the world is an ordinary man and an ordinary woman and their ordinary children. ~G.K. Chesterton
We build deep and loving family relationship by doing simple things together, like family dinner and family home evening and by just having fun together. ~Dieter F. Uchtdorf
The age of your children is a key factor in how quickly you are served in a restaurant. ~Erma Bombeck

Your photos are beautiful! That pizza looks so good!! I love that quote by Erma . . .I love a lot of her quotes!
ReplyDeleteThank you - I love Erma's writing, she combined humor with so much wisdom. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteI love the Franklin Conservatory! My favorite spaces are where the Chihuly pieces are! I hope you're able to figure out things as far as housing. We made some hasty decisions when we moved the last two times, and you know what they say about haste! My husband has Corvette fever. I told him it had to be a brand spanking new one...that stopped the talk as you could almost buy a small house for that price!

I love the Chihuly pieces too, though we didn't spend a lot of time looking at them this time. My husband wants a truck, which I'm not at all opposed to - as long as I get an upgrade on my vehicle too! There will be no brand new vehicles for us unless we win the lottery! LOL Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
