At the beginning of each month I've been participating in the "Currently" link-up hosted at Overflowing With Thankfulness. Our hostess Jennifer posts a set of action verb prompts for the month and writers respond. So, without further ado, here are this month's prompts and what's happening currently . . .

Loving - Things I'm loving right now include:
Signs of spring - It was dark when I arrived home on Sunday night so when I opened the door on Monday morning and saw all the blossoms on the trees, I was delighted!
Still basking in the glow of that Sweet Adelines win last weekend, and now we are already at work on new music!
I loved that I could go visit my aunts one more time, and see several other family members as well.
Adding to cart - The wiper blades for the rear windows of our cars just arrived - hubby ordered those for us. I found it wierd that we can't find this size in a store. I haven't checked what else I need to purchase from Amazon, but there will be quite a few grocery items in my cart as soon as I get a chance to stop at the store and restock after being away for a week.
Reading - I had a pretty good week for reading, thanks to being on vacation. At least I had two flights on which I read most of the time. So I just finished A Deceptive Composition by Anna Lee Huber. I'm about halfway through The Work of Art by Mimi Matthews.
Watching - At chorus rehearsal this week we watched our Regional performance on a big screen and enjoyed and critiqued ourselves. I still haven't watched all the other choruses, and I missed some of the quartets, so I'll need to catch up on that. Other than that, I haven't spent much time watching anything for a week, but I followed the highlights of Alex Ovechkin's last few games as he chased - and then surpassed - Wayne Gretzky's record of goals scored.
Listening to - I listened to some podcasts and a lot of music while on the road last week. I chose to scroll radio stations while I was driving about half the time.

Here's an even shorter than usual short Coffee Break Reading List since I mentioned my books above . . .
Quotable (I've enjoyed hunting up little quotes to sprinkle into my posts, and I host a regular Wednesday Quotes link party based on interesting quotes, but I've still got such a collection that I have to keep sharing them!):
Silly things do cease to be silly if they are done by sensible people in an impudent way. ~Jane Austen
Consider this your invitation to stop by the current link-up and join us: WQ - Competition. The link-up is open for two weeks, and the next one will open on April 16th, with the theme "Spring Colours"

Oh, you should wear that headdress all the time! You look fabulous in it! It’s funny how we’re always surprised by the sun rising or setting earlier or later, isn’t it? I mean, I’ve only experienced it for several decades, and yet I’m always surprised! That menu really through me until I reread the paragraph above it! Have a wonderful week!

The headdress was very fun and we had a 1920s type vibe to the costume - but after wearing it for a few hours, it left a line along my forehead! LOL The menu fooled a bunch of people which says that the staff did a really good job of making it JUST believable enough! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteLove the family pictures!
ReplyDeleteThank you - we had such fun getting together!
DeleteIt makes me laugh that you can buy wiper blades on Amazon! They really do sell everything, don't they?!?!?
ReplyDeleteThey really do! I don't know if there's anything you CAN'T buy on Amazon! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYou look fabulous in that headpiece! I feel like I am always adding groceries to my cart though I am trying really hard to only shop once a week (it seems like there is always an ingredient I forget to buy lately though!).
ReplyDeleteI do the same and try to do only one shop a week and avoid stopping for extras in between. I've found I can make do without things more than I used to with a houseful. Thanks for stopping by!
