Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I'm not a photographer, but I enjoy taking everyday photos of things I find interesting or want to remember later, and I find that I notice interesting things when I'm intentionally watching for them. Having some prompts that are open to interpretation has helped me pay a little more attention to what's around me. Every two weeks I have a few words and phrases that I'm focusing on, and I try to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week.

calendar - my new Note Nooks calendar arrived on Sunday so I had to pre-load appointments and such in it.

chill - we've had a bit of a cold snap the past week or so, and I'm about ready for it to warm up!
hidden - my very old teddy bear is almost hidden on the shelf.

And a few bonus photos:
What better way to start January than with a hockey game? We went to the January 2nd game which was a good one, even though we were disappointed at the way it ended with the visiting team winning.
We have a neighbor that really understands the assignment when it comes to decorating for the holidays throughout the year.
I finally did it. I took my Keurig to work so I can make myself coffee there whenever I want.
Experimented with a simple grazing board to share at a Cotton Bowl watch party with friends.
I moved my keyboard down to the living room, which I hope will make it more accessible, and as a bonus it opened up more space in the guest room.
One of my kids got me this fun neon coffee sign for Christmas. (The painting above it was done by my daughter-in-law and was my gift last year.)
I am sharing my photos every other Tuesday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.
Everyday Images will continue in 2025, every other Tuesday, and the link-up is open for two weeks.

I enjoyed your photos today. The food on the grazing board looks delicious! I also think the painting from your daughter-in-law is so pretty. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed trying my hand at a simple grazing board, and hopefully will get more creative as I get some practice with it. That painting is one of my favorites - thanks for the compliment on it, and thanks for linking up!
DeleteHi Kym, I came over from Cathy's post to visit you today, and I enjoyed your post so much that I decided to join in on the photo challenge. I love that painting from your daughter in law, and the neon coffee sign is cool too! Your grazing boards look so delicious and inviting. I love that idea and try to think of doing that sometimes instead of cooking a big meal. I enjoyed all of your pictures, and if I can remember to do so, I will try to join in each time. This was fun. Photography is a favorite hobby of mine, and so I look for more ways to share photos without doing the same old thing all the time...so this challenge was a great idea. Thank you!
