Everyday Images #72

Welcome to another installment of my challenge and reminder to myself to take photos somewhat regularly. I'm not a photographer, but I enjoy taking everyday photos of things I find interesting or want to remember later, and I find that I notice interesting things when I'm intentionally watching for them. Having some prompts that are open to interpretation has helped me pay a little more attention to what's around me. Every two weeks I have a few words and phrases that I'm focusing on, and I try to find opportunities to take pictures of these things each week.

listen - my radio station of choice is RadioU (88.7 in central Ohio, or online at RadioU.com) though I usually turn to a podcast, Spotify playlist, or audiobook on my commute home from work. It was taking its time loading this particular day.

matching - thought I might have stumped myself again, and then noticed my luggage set still sitting out after I used the duffel bag on the weekend. This suitcase is super easy to spot in a luggage carousel!

orange - a feature color on porches and at the garden center these days

And a few bonus photos:

These are also from Timbuk Farms' fall fest.

Hockey season has started! We went to a preseason game last week.

This folder is where I file work emails that are not something I can look after or need to know, but I don't think I should delete just yet. I had snapped a photo to message to a friend just for a giggle, and found it still on my phone when I put this post together.

Tried to dress up our front door area for fall. I say "front door" but it's an apartment so we actually have just the one outside door.

I enjoyed these pumpkins for a day or two, but hubby had brought them home to pass along to our granddaughter.

October skies . . . 😍Am I right?!

I am sharing my photos every other Thursday, along with my prompts for the next two weeks. You can use all or some of the prompts for your own photo posts, or none of the prompts and just link up a post featuring your photos. Simple rules: Your posts must be family-friendly; the photos must be your own; and the post must be mostly photos. If you do share I'd appreciate a mention and link to A Fresh Cup of Coffee on your post.

Everyday Images will continue in 2025, every other Thursday, and the link-up is open for two weeks.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  2. You are right about the color orange! It is everywhere in the month of October. The garden center you went to is really pretty as was Timbuck Fall Fest. I need to get some luggage that isn´t black- so many have black suitcases when flying that all the bags look alike when they´re on the carousel. I need to see if I have photos for these prompts or can easily take some :).

    1. I don't usually love the color orange, but during fall it seems I can't get enough of the orange leaves, orange flowers, orange pumpkins, etc!
My husband insisted that when I bought that set of luggage I picked something that was not black or navy and basically the same as all the other suitcases, so I was happy to find that fun polkadot print!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting, and I look forward to seeing your photos!

  3. That October sky photo is gorgeous! Timbuk Farm's fall fest looks like it was a lot of fun as does the hockey game.

  5. I love seeing your photo prompts — they make ordinary days feel a little more like treasure hunts, yes! Your “orange” and “current season” pictures are such perfect snapshots of early autumn. It’s lovely how you notice the small things and turn them into something to share. 🍂
