He sends his command to the earth;
his word runs swiftly.
He spreads the snow like wool
and scatters the frost like ashes.
He hurls down his hail like pebbles.
Who can withstand his icy blast?
He sends his word and melts them;
he stirs up his breezes, and the waters flow.
~Psalm 147:15-18~
We are expecting some of his icy snow today into tomorrow. I am glad it's a holiday tomorrow so less people will be travelling.
ReplyDeleteThe temperatures are dropping here and we are not looking forward to having to venture out to work the next couple of days. Glad we don't have to work outside though! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteI needed that reminder this morning. I was a little grumpy about grey skies and possible snow in the forecast. We live in an area not equipped to deal with much snow, and it’s hard to make decisions about going to church when you don’t know what the roads will be like on the way home. But God has His will in all weather, and we can trust Him to take care of us.
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to get down when the weather is gloomy. Cold rain is what affects my mood the most, but I also get anxious about having to drive (or knowing that my loved ones have to drive) in dangerous snowy conditions. I guess it's an opportunity to practice trusting God with things beyond my control! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteGiven that we had snow overnight and the Arctic blast is to hit us this week, this was such a good reminder. May we all stay safe, warm, and with no burst pipes. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. May we all be safe and warm in God's care. :) Visiting from the Sweet Tea & Friends linkup.
ReplyDeleteI love the Bible's picturesque descriptions of God's control over the weather.
